I grew up in Massillon, Ohio with my sister, Melissa, and my mom. I have two nephews, James and Preston, and a niece, Aryanna. I adore spending time with them. I attended The University of Akron for my undergraduate degree and received honors at graduation. Go Zips! I am currently taking courses and working on acquiring my Master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I will finish the degree program in April 2017.
I began my career teaching eighth grade part-time in Wooster City schools. After spending two years in Wooster, I moved to Mapleton Local Schools where I taught fifth grade for five years. I am currently in my tenth year of teaching, and it is my third year here in Green Local. I'm thrilled to be part of the staff at Green Elementary, and love teaching fourth grade.
I live with my Toy Fox Terrier, Isabella "Bella," and spoil her every chance I get. I enjoy traveling and seeing as much of the world that I am able to see. I have visited Athens, Greece, London, Britain, Paris, France, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Barcelona, Spain. My favorite country outside of the U.S. is Ireland. I have visited Dublin and surrounding cities in Ireland twice. Being outdoors, spending time with my family and friends, boating, and music are other hobbies that I enjoy.
